Caps of Knowledge!!!

Adam's eighth grade Social Studies class in all of their glory with caps of knowledge.

How does one try to make note taking on the causes of WWI interesting to a group of eighth grade students? Obviously you have them take their notes on paper hats that they have made and call them "caps of knowledge." Who would have thought that there would be so many smiles after a lecture with such a dry/depressing topic. This is why middle school students are so fantastic.
